It Rained in Delhi

Every bit of concrete melted into the street,
The sky's reflection in the puddle at my feet.
The wind howling back at my silent face,
Dissolving my sins at its own pace.

With a powerful stroke of nature's brush,
The earth bled its greyness in a gush.
Until nothing remained, but the grey,
And the boundaries all just faded away,

A suffocating man's last breath of air,
Cured my hope beyond repair,
For even when the rain insists,
The dryness in my eyes persists.
